I don't think there is any more information to add to the conversation. The child was not hurt severely, the children were taken care of and the actions/reactions were discussed and explained to the children. The staff immediatley covered their decision fo no-contact on this incidentPg. 2-1.1
. Finally, the staff explained what they will do to prevent this issue in the future in the future and advised the child of how he/she should handle this issue when he/she feels this may happen again I feel this was a great conversation.
Pg. 9-1.3
I visualize my business being ran prfessionally, just as a business should be. I plan to be very organized starting from general paperwork up to receipts and tax documents. I envision staff that are as happy as I am to see the children and help them development. Above all, I see a very caring, nurturing and loving facility.
I do not have a child care facility yet, but I do plan to be as affordable as I can while allowing myself to take care of the needs of my business and still profit enought o take care of my home. If my rates are higher, I can offset the cost by offering better advantages. For instance, there are are many child care providers who do not assist with travel arrangements for children. People and families are not all equipped with reliable transportation. I would also promote my effective teaching skills so that parents understand that I believe childcare should be more than toys and "watching a child."
I will definitely be an academic oriented center. I believe that learning is the key to success. I will utilize anything I can to teach a child. Any daily experiences are learning experiences. I believe we should take these experiences and work with our children on cause and effect, good or bad choices and even situation, actions and results. Amongst all things, normal learning activities such as working working numbers, letters and shapes will be inclusive.
My policies, programs, equipment and curriculum will mostly be identified from the basic requirements and allowances of DHS regulations. I will incorporate any additional strategies that are beneficial to the children ans also allow them demonstrate what makes them comfortable in the facility. Comfort can be things such as eating as family, furniture other than children's furniture and games and toys for each age group.
The strengths of my facility will be communication, documentation and exploration. I believe the best way to operate a business is to be able to communicate with others and documenting all necessary information. I also believe that children should not be expected to grow by a code or any specific instructions, so they should be allowed to explore and learn. They should also feel comfortable with asking questions to help with their exploration.
I believe my center will always have room for improvement because nobody is perfect and things change daily in life. I honestly believe that we live and we learn. I know that learning curriculum is changing daily and so are our children. I feel that everyone and all businesses can be improved.
